Old and still in business

The Church House Inn, in the Pill area of Newport, must be one of the oldest pubs in Newport, it was the supposed birthplace of a famous poet W H Davies who was born there in 1871.what always attracts me to the building is the large weeping willow that overhangs the pub.
He was known as the tramp poet because of his lifestyle and spent his time between Britain and America,
A nice start to the day no rain yet cold but the sun is out and there is blue sky.
