We left Rosnay with some regret but the lack of a laundry was a strong driving force. Setting off for another campsite that definitely offers facilities we stopped first at a Super U for fuel for humans and vehicle both. Lo and behold, they had a Lavomat. We had hoped to lunch in town but decided that making our own whilst our undies were spinning was a better plan.

Alas, the washers were "en empanne".

We shopped then went off to the town's Aire in order to park and have lunch according to original plan. But the Aire was no longer there.

We drove out of town and agreed to stop at the first likely spot, which turned out to be La Trimouille, which surprisingly offered space to park as soon as we turned up. The town square was the sleepiest ever, with only a tiny boulangerie open. They were able to supply a couple of hot Croques, which we ate in the square, sitting on a bench in the hot sunshine.

Suitably fortified, we drove on through beautiful scenery and pretty hidden villages, past fields of cows and into the Limousine, where we are now settled on a very quiet campsite by the side of a lake. An empty lake.

Nothing ever turns out quite as we imagined but all is fun and turns out right in the end.

The site closes on Sunday so Saturday will be our last night. I will need to crack on with the laundry as open sites will be few and far between now.
