Loch Faskally, Pitlochry

I've been waiting for a glorious autumn day like this to make my annual pilgrimage to Pitlochry to enjoy the colours and it was just perfect for it:-)

First stop this morning was at the GP surgery for our flu jabs (or jags, if you prefer!), then it was on to Pitlochry, via Dunkeld and the A9 looking its beautiful best on both sides.  We had a very nice lunch at the Festival Theatre before walking up to the Faskally Dam and Fish Ladder (no salmon to be seen in their viewing room).

We took the path that skirts the loch for a short distance, but that's all that's needed to get views like this.  A few more in Extras.  We then walked over the bridge to the new-ish Visitors' Centre high on the other bank and had a most delicious scone and coffee while sitting on the outdoor terrace enjoying the warmth of the sunshine.  What a beautiful day it was:-)  Hope you were able to enjoy it too.
