Welcome to the Pleasure Garden

My last meeting today was by St.Paul's. After I'd finished, I went to one of my favourite places in the world: the Museum of London. I sat in the cafe and worked for while, then couldn't resist a quick wander around the galleries before I headed back.

I don't get to the Museum very often, so I don't know how new this exhibit is but it was new to me :) It's about 18th century "pleasure gardens", and this is just one tableau from it. The whole concept of these gardens seems a little unnatural, and they way they've staged it - with low lighting, slightly odd colours, not-quite-human looking mannequins and eerie reflections - gave it an "unreal" atmosphere that I've tried to capture.
