Keep On Running

Just downloaded and printed my participation forms for this year's Kobe Marathon. Pleased to see that the route has changed slightly this year. For the better, I'd say. The route now goes past the Akashi Bridge and on to a Starbucks coffee shop that offers a great view of Awaji Island, before turning 180 degrees back to Akashi Bridge. An even better change is that now, after crossing the bridge onto Port Island, instead of taking several twisting turns around a lot of wasteland, there is a nice straight run down to the finish line. After crossing the big bridge onto Port Island you feel like you are on the home stretch so those two kilometers of twists and turns were psychologically tough.
