A Red, Red Rose

Spent some time today trying to capture this rose with my macro lens. I am quite pleased with the composition but disappointed with the colour - it is a much more intense red than this in real life. In most shots it came out much too orange. I played around with white balance and colour profiles, but no idea really what I am doing!
