Fitting tribute

I've been given one of these wonderful poppy pins, which have been designed to pay tribute to each one of the over 60,000 fallen British soldiers from the battle of Passchendale. Mine is for Private J Wall, from the Lancashire Fusiliers, who died on October 9 1917. They are made from British artillery shells found on the battlefield sites. They also contain earth recovered from the fields and mixed with red and green enamel. You can still buy them. Follow this link which also has a short video showing how they were made
