Battered, Broken but still Beautiful

A message for us all when times are hard.

Good friends came to our rescue yesterday, offering food, bed and company ..... and a safe haven in a storm.  Jamie's unsettled insides were a little better today, eventually.  We needed several stops in the first part of the journey but managed Corley to Norwich without a stop and in very good time.

We did not leave Shropshire until late afternoon so I had some very welcome respite in the care of our friends plus the chance to explore their wonderful garden.  Still plenty of interest as Autumn comes to a close.  The fallen Oak leaf, still blessed by the overnight rain, caught my eye as I was loading the car but as extra pics you can find Clerodendron fruits, late flowers on Meconopsis staintonii and  a clematis, plus a true autumn colour in the Acer leaves.
