World Sandwich Day

I'm not sure if Día Mundial del Sándwich is merely a marketing ploy by Subway or it it is a real thing, but we were only too happy to take advantage of the two for one sandwich promotion as we made the first of our two day drive to Puerto Vallarta. Today was a seven hour slog from home in Zihuatanejo to Guadalajara. All toll road driving, so it was fast, if a bit expensive (almost a thousand pesos, a little over $50 usd) for the privilege of driving at 110 kph for hours on end. Our hotel was a bit hard to find, and the traffic in Guadalajara is insane, so the end of the trip was a bit stressful, but we arrived safely in plenty of time to enjoy the nice grounds of our home for the night with a glass of wine.
