Tikitere Gardens

Met up with one of the girls from Camera Club at 9 this morning at Tikitere Gardens. These large gardens are privately owned and are full of vast plantings of rhododendrons, maples, and huge numbers of other plants. At the moment the rhodos are looking amazing, and the maples this morning after yesterdays rain were gorgeous, covered in drops of water. I had not been here at this time of the year before and I couldn't believe the large area of maples that completely covered the ground.
The light was soft but after several hours the sun came out, and although I am not complaining, it wasn't so good for photography.

Have loaded a Pep Ventosa shot in the extras, but not that fussed with it.
