HOTHOTHOT...LALALA...

Ask for any kind of food here in Nanchang...like people have mentioned in other blips...and because i am a foreigner they ask if i like it LA...HOT...SPICY...and here's why...LA JIAO...Hot Peppers... in almost everything...This burning red hot honkin' biggie, this is only one of many, is from a stew like dish of tofu, potato's, OH... Chinese for lotus root, black fungus, Whole black pepper cloves, assorted hot pepper oil and spices and the all blistering tiny hot Nanchang red pepper...seed's and all... cooking this must burn the eye's right out of the skull...but eating it is great.
just an FYI...if my students don't eat it...or say "it's too hot"...then i don't...i might sample though...usually burn...with this dish they separated the hotties with great care...(photo by Iain Dewar)
