First Snows of Winter

Fraser and I were off the gun early this morning and as we drove over the hill we were met with a ominously beautiful sight, the first snows of winter on the Ben on the North shore of our river.

The shadow of the clouds hangs low carrying with it the threat of more snow but as the day moved on the cloud slipped away.  It is obvious his is just a dusting of snow however it is very early this year and, if forecasters are to be believed it is indeed a precursor for a hard winter.

Brooding, Beautiful, Ben.
