Fallen leaves

A morning of heavy rain was very welcome after the recent prolonged spell of dry weather, and meant that I wasn't distracted from preparing a presentation that Pete and I are giving the week after next. It eased off after lunch, and by the end of the afternoon the skies had cleared. I nipped out to Thorpe Wood to put up a poster for our next Wildlife Trust talk, and had a quick walk round to stretch my legs. A lot more leaves had fallen since my last visit, probably knocked off by the rain. Nevertheless, there were still a surprising number of green leaves for early November...
