Jazz in Dunblane Cathedral

When jazz pianist Rossano Sportiello heard during the tea break that Chopin had links with Dunblane  ( a former pupil of his, Jane Stirling, had  lived in the area) he changed his programme of improvised jazz and played Chopin instead.

And, I suspect, this was much more to the taste of his audience who were more attuned to classical music than jazz judging by their age profile.

Then to our surprise he improvised Chopin…. what would the great composer have made of this?
