Tunnel vision

A lovely final day in Comrie concluded with a drive round Perthshire. The light, the clear crisp air, the turning colours provided lots of photo opportunities. A visit and walk up by Loch Turret Reservoir in 4oC was refreshing. The Famouse Grouse Distillery Statue had knitted poppies on its bonnet to mark Renebrance Day. So lots to capture.

One of my favourite photos of the day was going over the Queensferry Crossing with the setting sun colouring the sky. But as it was taken by my wife as I was driving it won’t be blipped.

I like this view from the south road from Comrie to Crieff. I don’t see many tree tunnels these days and the contrast of light and shade and colour and perspective is pleasing.

Events in the political world crowded in a bit as I woke up to the news of the Childrens Minister’s resignation. He clearly decided he could not continue in post. His departure means we lose a knowledgeable and supportive Minister. Tomorrow we will restart the process of briefing a successor. We will seek to build up her or his understanding of the children’s hearings system and the contribution of our specialist volunteers whether on the Panel or in the other voluntary roles which are so vital to the operation of our system.
