Spring snow

We had a southerly blast overnight, reminding us that summer isn't quite here yet.  Milking this morning, with the sun on Mt Newton confirmed this - snow half way down the mountain.  Back into warmer clothes for work.....and no heating on.  Luckily I've got a wee fan heater by my feet that I could turn on.

I'm hoping that there won't be a frost tomorrow morning.  If there is, it'll be the end of the new spuds, the young tips on the grapevine, and many other plants that thought winter was over.
