Wanderings & Witterings

Falkirk v Dunfermline Athletic in the SPFL Championship and another match in which the Bairns failed to pick up all three points.

As befits a game against the team we regard as our rivals, there was a large and noisy crowd, while the action on the pitch was frantic and exciting. Dunfermline took a first-half lead, but when they had a man sent off early in the second half, we thought this was our chance to gain our first league win of the season. Sure enough, when we equalised we all thought that more goals would follow. It wasn't to be.

Even when Dunfermline were reduced to nine men with another sending-off late in the game, Falkirk couldn't make their numerical advantage count. The match ended 11-9 on the pitch, but 1-1 on the scoreboard.

Ho hum. At least it was a good afternoon's entertainment.
