Edinburgh's Disgrace

Keeping tabs on my daily step count prompted a quick trot around Calton Hill on my way home from town this afternoon.  It has such great views as well as some quirky old constructions.  This bears the grand title of the National Monument of Scotland and was intended as a memorial for the Scottish soldiers who died in the Napoleonic Wars.  Sadly, it was never completed due to a lack of funds so it earned the scornful nickname of Edinburgh's Disgrace.  I can think of several more recent building projects that might vie for that position.
