On The Way To Essex

What better way to spend time avoiding the cleaning ladies who descended on our apartment late this morning than to hop in the car and head for Essex where Woodman's serves the absolute best fried clams imaginable!

We bundled Mabel into the car and headed over Boston's beautiful Leonard Zakim bridge, arriving at Woodman's right on time for lunch.  The food is so sinfully delicious that we try to only allow ourselves to indulge once or twice a year, but oh is it ever worth it!  We sat outside at a picnic table by the water in weirdly warm weather for November, swatting away greedy wasps, and savouring every mouthful of succulent fried clams, onion rings, and french fries.  (See extra).
