Toasted Marshmallows

Bonfire Night and an impromptu party in my friend's garden found us huddled around the new fire pit toasting marshmallows and sipping red wine.

The children enjoyed the fireworks display laid on by one of their friends. The adults enjoyed my friend's delicious pork casserole, chilli and jacket potatoes, rice pudding flavoured with nutmeg (wow) and pumpkin pie. Meanwhile the biggest kid (i.e. my friend's husband) enjoyed frightening the life out of us with 'thunderbolt' explosives. Yikes!

Looking forward to more evenings around the fire pit in future. Hopefully minus the thunderbolts!
