Family gathering?

It was a small gathering and very worthwhile, my niece has no recollection of ever meeting her Great Uncle Doug... She has now and she fell in love.
He's fab, he's 100years old, he's also lonely.
My endeavor is to see him once a week, whenever possible we will go out for lunch, today we drove over to my favourite place, the Yorkshire Arboretum. The trees are all stunningly beautiful and the journey from Pocklington was delightful, he loved it and the memories it brought back.
He also very much enjoyed the bacon butties and cup of tea...even tho, as he commented, he's short on teeth these days.
