Edinburgh's second Castle?

Craigmillar Castle was 'of' the city of Edinburgh but not 'in' it. The castle rises high above the trees on its rocky perch, and if you put from your mind the modern urban sprawl it is easy to imagine Mary Queen of Scots riding out from the Palace of Holyroodhouse with her ladies and courtiers to take up residence there, as she did in 1563 and 1566.

I certainly take Edinburgh's great history for granted and pass great sights almost daily without fully appreciating their input and great beauty. Something I aim to stop doing !
