A Titled Lady in Stirling

The "Duchess of Sutherland" heads "The Caledonian" as it pulls out of Stirling this afternoon. She is a Princess Coronation class pacific locomotive and was built in 1938. We did see this train on the move this morning but the photos were not as good as we had hoped so luckily we met her ladyship this afternoon, watched her manoeuvre round the carriages, couple up again then head off back south to Carnforth.
We really have not done much else other than chase an elderly steam engine around the country.
Hope this fine autumn weather holds for tomorrow as we have a family celebration culminating in a big meal out.
