Surplus to requirements

I was working today. The morning was hectic, but things had calmed down enough in the afternoon to think about a blip for today.

This box represents just a fraction of medication issued but not used in a typical hospital. Whilst some of it can be recycled, much of it cannot. In the old days it could be sent to developing countries; but those days are long gone.
