True Colours

I have about five different hydrangeas in my garden. all in pots.
To keep the blue and purple ones that colour l change the compost to an acidic one and add a pine needle dressing each winter ( good use of Christmas tree droppings!)
I also sprinkle on a product containing elemental sulphur whic l get from the garden centre.
When it is the end of their season l cut them back and bring some flowerheads in to dry.
This is the colour some of the seed heads have turned to at the moment!
This was an iris blue shade in the garden but is now more like duck egg blue as it dries out.
No faffing done with this abstract colour l promise.
What a natural surprise !
Thank you Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday.
