All of a flutter

It’s not often something happens in my village but today the shiny new Edeka (a german supermarket chain) opened!!!

You can’t imagine how exciting this is! I think the whole village turned out.

In contrast to the old Edeka the products are actually organised in a sensible manner, not just randomly placed anywhere (ie: jam and beans together etc); there is space to move; there are windows and lights which actually give light and there are modern checkouts which accepts cards!!(although still no self service checkout - that would have been a step too far)

It’s all too exciting ;-))
