Now, as I see it......

Noo York, Noo York

Many thanks for the comments, stars and hearts for my Blip yesterday. This morning the gas man came round but what I thought would be a small repair turned into a three hour job. Thank goodness for an all inclusive service contract, and at least now we can run a bath without heating all the radiators on the upper floor.

As that had rather eaten into the day we decided to go and see the new Paddington film this afternoon (excellent; if you go, don't leave as soon as the credits start rolling. It's worth hanging on till the end). It was in Screen 5; we rather blotted our copybook by going to the right of the '5' sign instead of left. We thought it was odd that not only had the film started but it seemed a bit like the end of it, until a very nice young man pointed out to us that we were in the iMax cinema next door to Screen 5. I could almost feel the thoughts of 'Silly old duffers' from the few youngsters in there but as we paid around £10 each and they paid around £26 for only a marginally bigger screen I wonder who is more daft.

And the New York taxi? Parked outside TGI Fridays, an American themed restaurant next to the cinema.
