Reading good for the imagination

It never ceases to amaze me in this day and age with all the technology and gadgets available that books are still as popular today as they were when I was a kid. My ten year old son is gone all Lemony Snicket crazy lately and has taken to reading all 13 books. He has read about four of them so far. I think it's great to see kids reading and it's great for the imagination.
