A Chilly Day; Rackwick, Orkney

Planning with Ziberoonie (Project Manager) our approach to the Hoy Conundrum.  We could go with foamed cement but by the time it’s on site on the Island it could be cost prohibitive.  We’d still need to cut lots of access hatches.  However using the family mixer would be a lot cheaper but it would take a lot of mixes every weekend to get through it.  Even the installation of a membrane won’t be easy with restricted access to the solum.  It makes the cliff-hangers of the Lone Ranger look positively tame.

We took some time off for a spin through to Rackwick.  A fine day with a chilly north-west wind.

Our ultimate Project Managers also await the outcome of our thinking.

Don’t touch that dial.
