First cycle in over two weeks, after a cold/flu type bug, which has not yet fully been shaken off. It had turned colder before those two weeks off, and the temperature is still noticeably on the way down. In to Inverness tonight, for some shopping, and a Blip. Should have gone in earlier, to catch the "blue hour." Had to put the rear tyre and tube back on the wheel, after fixing a puncture (gained just before that bug).

Testing a tiny little lens, at its widest aperture tonight. Predictably it's sharp in the centre, and softer towards the sides and corners. Just gradually so, and not badly. For normal use I'm planning to use it on a crop sensor camera, so the worst of the edges and corners won't be visible. I'll also likely be using it at less than maximum aperture, but it's nice to know that it's fairly good used at "max." Manual focus only, will add to the challenges in using it.

On this camera it acts as a wide-angled lens, but on the smaller sensor camera that it's likely to be stuck on, it has a near normal angle of view. Something I've been after for a while. A Sigma lens I used for a while, was always unpredictable in the corners of the frame, sometimes horribly so.
