The gaze

Sometimes in the busy-ness of rearing children and ferrying them to schools and lessons and various opportunities, developing a career, and establishing a rich, full life of one's own, the magic of a couple's attraction to each other fades into the background. One of Sue's sisters is visiting for the weekend, so I took time to go visit my son Seth and his family to make photos for a possible holiday card this year, and I caught him and Cristina gazing at each other just as they did in the year they fell in love. I was so happy to have the camera in my hand and dialed up to the right ISO. One of many imperfect family photos they may choose from is the Extra.
