Crossroads

I took my camera out on my morning run today. This crossroads is two miles from Cockermouth towards the Lorton valley, and hundreds of cyclists pass this way to reach Buttermere, Newlands and Honister. 

I love this line of trees on the brow of the hill. In my mind's eye, they are standing guard above the valley beyond.
