From the Brig O.Doon

Took a train to Ayr today and now staying with friends in their beautiful apartment in Alloway overlooking the River Doon. I can see the Brig O’Doon from my window A fantstic village.. We went to see a local Burns Society production of The Jolly Beggars and Mair in the Burns Birthplace Museum this evening. Such an enjoyable evening difficult to understand a lot of the words but I got the gist. Very funny they were all men actors and many dressed as women’! Sorry not to have been keeping up with your blips and journals , the last few days have been very busy’
