A Writer's Life

Winter

We woke up to record-breaking cold today. So it took some time to get the kids ready for the daycare run. However, apparently, the cold makes Henri sleepy, as evidenced here.

Then I took him to a maternity/baby fair close by. We had lunch in a little bistro, and I checked something out of my parenting list: I took him on the subway with the stroller. See, only a few subway stations are equipped with elevator. And all of them involve at least 15-20 stairs to get to the platform. I hadn’t taken the subway at all with Oli, unless he was in the carrier. So it felt like a big achievement. And a big exercise as well. Let’s hope our new mayor does something about public transport accessibility.
