My latest feathered friend

A shy dunnock has joined my merry band. He's very small and sweet.

The park was busy and quite noisy with dogs today so wasn't expecting to see much but I heard a kingfisher in the distance so stalked along the river looking for it. Wasn't able to get a picture but saw a splash in the water, a flash of blue and then its backside disappearing out of view. There seem to be quite a few kingfishers about at the moment, on both the canal and river.

Spent a few minutes at the war memorial before heading home.

Scary day tomorrow so trying to relax this evening. Cracking on with my origami peace crane project... I've folded 60 now.
