Victoria Baths

Today was the last open day of 2017 - we hosted a Festive Winter Fair which proved to very popular.  We only have one credit / debit card machine, which 'lives' in the shop (where I work) and today everyone wanted to pay by card.  I didn't have a moments peace from 11:00 until 14:00!  Not complaining - we must have made a lot in the shop today, which all goes to support the project to maintain & restore the baths.

The blip is the 'glass corridor'. The glass floor is to help illuminate the corridor below.  Before the restoration project began it was covered over and completely hidden from sight.

I feel a little sad that this was the last open day this year.  Not sure why but maybe it is because this was the only one of my voluntary activities which was not restricted by my damaged knee.  But there is still the AGM and a 'Christmas do' for the volunteers, so it hasn't all 'gone quiet' until next season.
