Wonderful Things Happening

Everywhere the ground is covered with celandines (took a bit of research, but think that's what they are) - a sign, I think, that the bit of rain we had signals a second Spring for the Alentejo (if only it would rain some more...). In The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, when Aslan returns to Narnia, the children notice "wonderful things happening. Coming suddenly round a corner into a glade of silver birch trees Edmund saw the ground covered in all directions with little yellow flowers - celandines".

I lay on the ground on a dip in our land, and watched the bees collecting pollen from them. And took photos, of course - this is with my zoom lens and no messing at all, loved the tiny feather caught in the stalks.
