Day 68: Skipton Castle & Abbeys

First stop - Skipton Castle - which I remember as being the place I went to on a school trip.....twice. Still selling the same 'souvenirs' (aka crap) in the gift shop - which was oddly reassuring. Continued on to Bolton Abbey which was teeming with badly behaved....children / dogs / parents / etc. Even my iPod failed to drown them out. Final stop of the day was Fountains Abbey for their "Floodlights at Fountains" event. The Gregorian chanting, the free guided tour, the hog roast - all nice - but the real treat was watching the sunset behind the World Heritage Site.
