Tate Modern
Whenever I'm in London I always try to walk along to the Tate Modern and see what is going on there.  So that was part of today's walk.
In the sloping entrance to the Tate Modern there is presently a thick carpet, upon which the public sit, lie, run around, eat picnics etc, depending on age and inclination. Above this carpet a large pendulum swings.  It was lovely to lie there and watch it slowly swinging back and forth.
Later we were four floors up on a bridge directly above the carpet and I saw this small group of mums and babies, who had claimed their own little area, surrounded by diverse other people also enjoying the  ambience of the hall.
We enjoyed a cup of coffee on the top floor of the Tate. We enjoyed it more for the view than for the coffee because we've lived in Sweden long enough to find London coffee rather weak!
Later we walked on to Southwark Bridge and then back along the north side to Drury Lane. By then we were tired and crossed back across the river and headed home to my sister's.
