So they did...

Australia has said 'yes' to the Government legislating same-sex marriage.  There was a $122 million postal vote (yes you heard that right!) and today the results were posted.

61.6%  'yes'
38.4% 'no'

I personally think the Government should have just 'woman' upped and said 'yes' to something that was inevitable instead of spending all that money on something which isn't legally binding.  But it shows the distinct lack of leadership in our country. 

I have friends who are over the moon with the result, I have friends who are grieving, I have friends who wonder what it will mean for the church.  

"These three remain: faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love"

The extra is of the La Trobe statue at the State Library.  Apparently he was voting 'yes'.
