The Queens Tree

A day in Kings Park.
"River Red Gum, Eucalyptus Camaldulensis, planted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, on 27th March 1954 to commemorate her visit to Perth with his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh" which would make me around 5 years old when this tree was planted,  its one of the largest Eucalyptus trees in Kings Park, the people sitting underneath look quiet minuscule, this is one of our favourite trees.
my extra is of the plaque that sits at the side of the tree showing the Queen  planting the tree, she looks so young too, it must have been taken in her 2nd year of taking over the throne.
