"You Can't take Pictures Here!"

So says John N., manager of Fred Meyers grocery store.

"You have to get permission from corporate...."

Hmmmm.... My first thought was... Why not take pepper pictures?

I really didn't want to argue with him, not worth the energy expended. So I turned off the camera and he went away.

I am still wondering, why the corporate pepper photo restriction? security?

It might be that the stacking of the peppers there is a corporate secret. If this secret was to get out, all of the grocery stores could stack the peppers this way and then all of the pepper shoppers would not be so lured to Fred Meyers because of the perfect pepper stacking.

Or maybe it's the secret low prices of the peppers. If all of the other grocery stores discovered the pepper prices, then their prices would be the same and then the pepper shoppers would not be so drawn to the Fred Meyers pepper prices and the Fred Meyers pepper market would fail.

Or maybe the no pepper photo security policy is to prevent terrorists from preparing a kidnapping or bombing of the peppers.

Hmmmm....

Or maybe Fred Meyers is just stupid!

I'm taking pictures of the onions to see what happens!
