Project: bow tie

This morning, after seeing Rob off to his first trustees meeting with the John Strutt Trust, I settled down to making George his bow tie.
As expected it was not as straightforward as I would have wished, as silk is really slippery stuff to sew. However, I am pleased with the result and can't wait to see him in it.
Then I made the first mince pies of the year! Well we had to try out Rob's mincemeat.... very delicious.
For a bit of a rest, I went to book group at Sheila's, lovely to do your own things sometimes!
