Better!

The pediatrician was encouraging today. Henri seems to be getting better, so we might be able to avoid an hospital stay. He even smiled at her a bit!

We had a day full of appointments and Henri did well. I had planned to go out to a friend’s book launch: I had milk in the fridge, grandma was going to be babysitting the boys, and I really, really wanted my night off. That was before Henri got sick, though. I just couldn’t leave him, and I’m glad I stayed, because for the first time in a week, he actually laughed. Best sound in the world!
