H.M.S.

Last night we had a rare long nights sleep. Still up early but not as early as usual and the early night and no wakers throught paid off. We reckon we got nine and a half hours, which is far better than the usual six.

Whilst everyone got up I decided to put Boy's new bed together. Once assembled it looked great and his new look room now looks like a proper bedroom. Not that he was interested, as he was too busy playing with his playmobile to take a look.

We headed out to the dockyard as the weather was good. A quick train got us there and once there we pottered about until a harbour tour set off which we jumped on. It was interesting to see all the sights from the water, though Girl was more interested in the cakes in the shop on the boat. Boy was so enthralled by it all that he fell asleep on my lap whilst eating crisps.

We disembarked the vessel at Gunwharf to get some noodles and soup for lunch. Sadly there was a double mess up with the little ones food that meant they had to wait. Boy does not like waiting for his food and did not like how spicy ours was and so got a bit fed up. The manager came over to apologise and reduce the bill. I told him we were ok but he would have to explain to the Boy, which he did. I don't think he was used to explaining his restaurant problems to a two year old but they both seemed the better for it.

Once fed we wandered, had a row over ice creams. I say row, I mean I threw a strop, at Jamie's little van, then bought the little ones a cone each, then caught Girls scoop as it fell off its come of the first lick. After a clean up I was rewarded with some of the ice cream.

We then went in a shop and looked at some skateboards with Boy. I bent down to show Boy one board and noticed that with the excitement he had made a smell. We grabbed the bag of tricks from Wife and walked to the facilities. Half way there he needed a carry. Almost there I asked if it was all still contained and he confirmed it was. Once at the facilities it was confirmed that his confirmation was indeed crap and that this crap had leaked onto his trousers, through them and onto my jumper.

Cleaner but colder with a boots bag of washing we headed for home to jump about on the new bed. At least Boy was a bit lighter now.
