Mediterranean????

This morning was lovely with some lovely blue skies so after lunch we went for a run in the car. We head up north to Durness, the mountains were beautiful against the blue sky, along the coast past Sango Bay with the waves crashing against the rocks and along to Sangobeg Bay. Stopped the car at the top of the hill and I got this view. Along the road towards Tongue but we stopped at the Melness cemetry to give the dogs a run as they have a nice big car park back from the road. Over the bridge and the causeway to Tongue we then headed for Skerray. Stopped at a little cafe and craft shop which was open for a coffee and cake, delicious. We turned off towards Skerray, through little townships and down to the pier at Skerray. Beautiful little harbour and very sheltered, let the dogs out and I took some photos. then on through the village which has one shop, The Post Office. A beautiful little thatched house, on again past a tin shed church and then a beautiful cemetry facing out to Torrisdale Bay. I had a look round and took some photos of the stones. This is Mackay country so loads of stones with that name on them. Back on to the main road we headed for home. A lovely day out. You cansee a few more photos here
