Wound up in Wexford

White fuchsia

This fuchsia is valiantly and generously flowering. There's a red one on the other side of the steps, also flowering, but less ebulliently. They were only planted last year, it's taking longer to get established.

Behind, is what we grandly named the "Oak Terrace". Not much visible change in the bed featured on 7th Nov, but we've been beavering away today, planting more than 200 bulbs. Mainly allium, some daffs and tulips.

That's the Royal "we" of course - W has done most of the work, my participation was mainly supervisory. And I did provide tea. The afternoon has been spent reading and dozing in the garden room. I'm rereading Mansfield Park, and musing on the attitudes towards women, especially in light of the recent revelations about sexual harassment in the media.
