Amsterdam

The big letters are a clue. Had a late, leisurely breakfast, checked the weather forecast and booked tickets for the Van Goch museum for the afternoon, when it was going to rain. Then we found a lovely neighbourhood cafe bar to while away a couple of hours before going to a concert at the Concertgebouw (Sibelius & Brahms). Everyone is so friendly, we chatted to the people sitting at the next table in the cafe, about sailing in the west of Scotland and Brexit. Then at the concert hall a lady in the queue told us the drinks at the interval were free ( since they increased the ticket price) as it made it much faster for everyone. The audience were very appreciative of the music, absolute silence between movements then standing ovations at the end for both parts.
