Westward Ho!

The morning started out quite nice. Headed over to Westward Ho! to meet a couple of friends who were over for the weekend. After hot chocolate and a bit of  gossip we headed out on the South West Coast Path, and walked as far as the end of the Abbotsham cliffs, before retracing our steps.

The weather had started to close in, and we retreated into a newly opened cafe, A Slice of Life, in Pebble Ridge Road, for a delicious bowl of soup,and beautiful brown spelt bread. I am not sure if this qualifies for Silly Saturday, but we ventured out on to the beach. It was trying to rain, the wind was getting up and the tide was coming in, so off we went. The kite surfers were having a whale of time, but we decided to retreat before we got to them as the rain was getting serious. So back to the Cafe for tea and homemade scones, clotted cream and jam . Very yummy!!

I am behind again with comments I'm afraid, by the time I got home I was shattered! Will endeavour to catch up soonest :-)
