Life through the lens...

Another glorious day, and another enjoyable walk.
This time with members of our walking group.

From the start at Great Ouseburn, we went towards Little Ouseburn, and over this delightful bridge. Still some frost in places as it was a very cold night.
On past the church of Holy Trinity, where we came across the beautiful Thompson Mausoleum.
It has a fascinating history, which would take me too long to tell you so I have put a link  HERE
The rest of the walk took us along hedgerows, and across fields.
Through farm yards, and little villages. Wonderful long distant views as far as York Minster in the far distance, and still the sun shone!
On the way back we also passed a newly planted vineyard! ( see collage)
I have put a collage on extras showing the Mausoleum, a few farmyard friends we met along the way, and some our our group enjoying their lunch break!

We called at a farm shop/cafe on the way back for tea and scones, and just managed to get home before dark.
An 8 mile walk.

That's three walks in 8 days and 23miles in total.
We are both feeling quite pleased with ourselves!
Don't know how many steps that would be!!

Oh and the icing on the cake.   Leeds United won!!
